Website Update Notes — A Wider, Easier-to-Read News Page, and the Little Things We Fixed This Week
News articles have a whole new layout: a wider text column, images that are never cropped, and click-to-zoom. We also tidied up the island film on the home page, the donate page, the member area, the 404 page and lots of small details.
Since the website renewal, we’ve been tidying up every corner of the site. Here are this week’s updates, all in one place.
The news page: wider and easier to read
We heard that the article text was too narrow and that images often got cropped. So this time, we redesigned the article page from top to bottom:
- A wider text column with slightly larger type, so long articles are easier on the eyes.
- No more cropped images: every image is shown whole, at its original proportions, with a caption underneath. Click an image to see it larger.
- A table of contents at the side lights up as you read; you can also share to X, Facebook or LINE, or copy the link, in one click.
- Under the title you’ll see roughly how long the article takes to read, and a thin reading-progress bar runs along the top of the screen.
- When you finish, you can go straight on to the previous or next article.
We tidied up the news list, too: covers no longer cut the guardians in half — they now stand whole, in their own worlds.
The island film on the home page
The floating-island film in the “Ainomori” section of the home page used to be too big, and its top and bottom were cut off. It’s now a more comfortable size, and you can see the whole island.
Donate page, member area, Void Dialogues and 404
- The donate page has been rebuilt: choose a guardian, step into their world, and send them your support.
- The member area and Void Dialogues now share the look of the new website.
- Even when a page can’t be found (404), Rana will keep you company while you’re lost in the forest.
Other little fixes
- The guardians’ YouTube links have been updated (Rana’s channel is @RanaVTB). Thank you to the viewer who let us know!
- The English and Japanese versions of the arcade, Minecraft and member pages used to show “page not found” — they all work now.
- Some pages used to wobble sideways on phones. Fixed.
- A new set of preview images for when pages are shared on social media.
- The logo in the navigation bar and footer has been replaced with the newest, cleanest version.
- Names made consistent: Tensi’s fans are the “Onigiri”, and the mountain of the Underworld is “Mt. Danatus”.
